The Bassin du Mès, in Mesquer, is a veritable showcase for the region’s typical salt marshes. Here, the Guérande salt crystallises with the tides and the wind, creating a luminous, ever-changing landscape that’s perfect for walks and discovering an ancestral know-how.

• The Traict du Rostu

The Traict du Rostu, between the ocean and the salt marshes, is revealed at both high and low tide, revealing vast mudflats and wetlands. This 126-hectare Natura 2000 site is home to rare birds and habitats. An observation post allows you to admire the wildlife in complete tranquillity, while respecting this protected site.

Culture also comes to Mesquer! The L’Arty Mès theatre offers a varied programme of cultural events every year, including comedy, music, theatre, circus and festivals. This friendly venue offers residents and visitors artistic events throughout the year, encouraging the discovery and sharing of cultural experiences for all audiences.
