Labels and rankings for accommodation providers

Presqu’île de Guérande tourist accommodation accreditation: raise your profile and promote your services!

a guarantee of confidence growth lever

For tourism professionals, having their accommodation labelled or classified is an essential way of enhancing the value of their offer and winning over their customers. These schemes highlight the level of comfort and the quality of the welcome and services provided, while offering practical tools for promotion and marketing. Classifying or labelling your accommodation also provides a clear point of reference for visitors, who can compare and choose with complete confidence.

Whether you own a furnished rental, bed and breakfast, tourist residence, campsite or hotel, there are solutions adapted to each type of establishment to highlight your services and benefit from official or thematic recognition.

Ranking Atout France

The Atout France classification is based on precise, standardised criteria designed to guarantee a certain level of comfort and service. It applies to all types of tourist accommodation, from hotels to furnished tourist accommodation, including tourist residences, campsites and holiday villages.

For the accommodation provider, the classification offers greater visibility, a guarantee of seriousness and easier communication with customers. For visitors, it provides a reliable benchmark for choosing accommodation that meets their expectations in terms of comfort and services. The procedure is voluntary and valid for five years, renewable under the same procedure. To be valid, the inspection visit for classification purposes must be carried out by an inspection body accredited by Cofrac (Comité Français d’Accréditation).

In addition to being clean and in excellent condition, furnished accommodation for one or two people must have a minimum surface area of 9 m² if the kitchen is self-contained, or 12 m² if a kitchenette is integrated into the living area.

Labels and tourism brands

Tourism labels and brands are based on a demanding quality charter. They guarantee travellers a clearly identified level of comfort and service, while offering the accommodation provider greater visibility thanks to a recognised logo, dedicated communication media and sometimes legal or commercial support. Adopting a label also makes it easier to position yourself in the market: you respond more precisely to your customers’ expectations, while affirming the quality and reliability of your accommodation.

  • Gîtes de France: authenticity, trust and local roots
Joining Gîtes de France means becoming part of one of the best-known and longest-established networks for rural tourism and home-stay accommodation. The label promotes authenticity, conviviality and the discovery of local areas. Its “épis” classification criteria guarantee travellers warm, comfortable accommodation, while the hosts benefit from high national visibility, personalised support and a reputation that immediately inspires confidence. This is a major advantage for those wishing to promote their local roots and offer a reassuring, high-quality, human experience.
  • Clé Vacances: controlled quality and a comfortable experience
The Clé Vacances label certifies accommodation that meets a precise quality charter, focusing on comfort, consistency of facilities and quality of welcome. The “Clé Vacances” label is awarded on the basis of strict, regular checks, guaranteeing travellers a clear and reliable level of service. For the accommodation provider, it’s the assurance of joining a solid network, recognised for its support, its promotional tools and its high standards of customer satisfaction.
