Treat your group to a full day exploring La Brière and Guérande!

Set off for a day at the heart of the traditions and emblematic landscapes of the peninsula! With its unspoilt countryside, picturesque villages and age-old skills, this is a chance to discover the soul of Grande Brière and Guérande. A programme rich in encounters, heritage and authenticity.

Morning

  • 9.30 am – Guided barge tour of the Brière marshes
    Come aboard a traditional barge with your guide to discover the flora and fauna of this very special marshland.
  • 10:45 – Guided walking tour of the village of Kerhinet, in Saint Lyphard
    This tour immerses you in the exceptional heritage of this hamlet of thatched cottages. Using Kerhinet as an example, your guide will introduce you to the Brière Regional Nature Park, its special features (notably thatched roofs), its inhabitants and their skills.
  • 12pm – Lunch in a Brière inn
    Enjoy a traditional meal in an authentic setting in the heart of the marshes.

AFTERNOON

  • 2.30pm – Guided walking tour of the medieval town of Guérande
    Take a trip back to the Middle Ages to discover this Breton town and its history. Guérande, a witness to its past, has a remarkable heritage.
  • 4.30pm – Guided tour of the Guérande salt marshes
    Meet a salt worker and find out how salt is harvested. Immerse yourself in the ancestral know-how for which the peninsula is famous.
