Preparing for Your Cycling Route
- To follow the route easily, download the GPX file and import it into a compatible app or bike computer (Strava, Komoot, Garmin Connect, OpenRunner, etc.).
- You can then follow the route throughout your ride, even without an internet connection, depending on the app or device you are using.
Before Setting Off
- Before you leave, make sure you have the essentials with you: water, a snack, a bag for your rubbish and, if needed, a repair kit. Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended.
- The route combines shared roads, greenways and trails. Adjust your pace to suit your type of bike (road bike, mountain bike or gravel bike) and stay alert to other users.
- Some sections pass through sensitive natural areas. Please stay on designated paths, respect the surroundings and ride carefully throughout the route.
Cycling Through the Salt Marshes
The salt marshes are first and foremost working areas, where vehicles and machinery used for salt harvesting may be operating. Extra care is recommended for less confident cyclists, particularly during the summer salt-harvesting season. Whenever possible, use designated cycle paths for greater safety.
