A spring week with the family

Ajouter aux favoris

An active family week in the spring on the Guérande peninsula: nature, beaches and sporting activities.

The essentials of your stay

In spring, the Guérande peninsula lends itself perfectly to a week out with the family!

The days are longer, the weather is milder and activities are slowly picking up: lively harbours, beaches, walks, coastal strolls and sporting activities for all ages.

It’s a fast-paced, varied week, designed to get you moving, exploring and making the most of the region. Each day combines discovery, excitement and relaxation.

Port of La Turballe  and auction

To start the week, head toLa Turballe to discover the port and the world of fishing. The Au Gré des Vents association offers activities for all ages.
Guided heritage tours, interactive discovery trails, creative workshops, storytelling and much more…

The Maison de la Pêche (House of Fishing) offers an interactive discovery of the fishing industry and port activities, with panels and activities designed for children.

For early risers, a visit to the fish auction at first light is an impressive sight: the sale by voice and the freshly landed fish captivate young and old alike.

Fishing on foot

In spring, fishing on foot is a classic for all the family.

When the tides are high, you can collect cockles, clams, periwinkles and prawns.
It’s a fun, accessible activity that combines play, observation and learning. It’s also a great way to enjoy the coastline in a different way: explore the rocks, watch the birds and discover a living ecosystem.

It’s a simple, funday out that combines movement, curiosity and the pleasure of being outdoors.

Sea sports  or accrobranche at Piriac

Head for Piriac-sur-Mer for a day offun and sport.
The more adventurous can try their hand at paddling, kayaking or light sailing, with supervision adapted to children and beginners.
The clubs provide all the necessary equipment and offer accessible courses.

For those who prefer to stay on land, Piriac Aventures offers accrobranche courses for all levels. Children love to climb, test their balance and challenge themselves in complete safety.
After the activity, an ice-cream on the harbour allows you to enjoy this Petite cité de caractère ® and its friendly atmosphere.

Seaside  and hiking in Mesquer

Start at the port of Kercabellec in Mesquer, a lively little oyster-farming port where you can watch the professionals at work and discover the local produce.

Then set off on a hike between the Pointe de Merquel and Rostu. The route is easy and offers a variety of landscapes: beaches, salt marshes and views of the coast.

Finally, the Pont-Mahé beach at Assérac is perfect for running, playing and watching the kitesurfers.

Cliffs of the Mine d'Or  in Pénestin

To round off the week, discover the Mine d’Or cliffs at Pénestin. At 15 metreshigh, they offer a spectacular panorama, especially in spring at sunset.

The beach below is perfect for a family outing: walk, watch, play and enjoy the view.

The sentier des Douaniers (GR®34) takes you along the cliffs to admire the coastline.

Our advice
