Who are we?

Organised and governed, the Intercommunal Tourist Office coordinates its missions to develop sustainable local tourism.

Governance serving 15 municipalities

The La Baule-Presqu’île de Guérande Intercommunal Tourist Office is organised as a Société Publique Locale (SPL). It operates within the framework of a public service delegation entrusted by CapAtlantique La Baule-Guérande Agglo, with a clear objective: to develop the tourist appeal of the area in a collective, coherent and sustainable manner.

It represents and promotes 15 communes with complementary identities, from the Atlantic coast to the salt marshes, from the Brière Regional Nature Park to the back-coastal communes. This diversity is at the heart of the La Baule-Presqu’île de Guérande territorial brand, designed as a shared, unifying project.

Governance is based on a Board of Directors made up of 31 elected representatives and the President of the Tourist Office. This body has an executive role within the organisation. A Technical Committee, made up of tourism professionals representing the main sectors of activity in the region, completes this governance. It plays an essential consultative role, feeding into the strategy on the ground, encouraging dialogue with economic players and ensuring that actions are in line with local realities.

Promoting attractiveness of the territory

The main mission of the Intercommunal Tourist Office is to design and implement a tourism and brand strategy to serve the region and its stakeholders. It works to raise the profile of the destination, improve its image and support balanced, high-quality tourism development.

It promotes La Baule-Presqu’île de Guérande to visitors, year-round and second-time residents, on the French and foreign markets, using targeted communication campaigns, a strong digital presence and structured editorial content.

The Tourist Office also supports tourism professionals in their development, offering tools, services and visibility schemes, while encouraging local synergies and collective initiatives.

Lastly, it plays a key role in tourism observation, so that it can constantly adapt its actions to the area’s uses, flows and changes, with a view to efficiency and continuous improvement.

Talent committed on a daily basis

The La Baule -Presqu’île de Guérande Intercommunal Tourist Office relies on multi-disciplinary teams working all year round to design, implement and manage the region’s tourism strategy. Their work goes beyond seasonal reception: they provide day-to-day support to local authorities, residents and professionals.

With 9 reception offices across the region and a permanent team of 40 employees, backed up by around 30 seasonal workers, the Office guarantees a quality service all year round, while remaining close to visitors and local players.

In addition to welcoming visitors, the teams are involved in a wide range of other tasks, including project support, network management, digital promotion and marketing, tourism observation and CSR commitments. Collective and ongoing action is essential to enhance the appeal and influence of the 15 communes.
